A lone Canoe – #WordlessWednesday

I shot this picture at Havelock Island, during our visit to Andaman last year. You can read my post on Andaman here https://kalpavrikshafarm.wordpress.com/2017/10/20/andaman-the-untouched-paradise/

It was taken during one of my early morning walks along the beach. The serenity and calmness of the sea was enough to transport you to a tranquil place far away.

This picture of a lone canoe somehow had a haunting loneliness attached to it; made me melancholic, don’t know why. Though it has a calming aura around it, it still managed to bring out a bit of sadness; probably because it looked abandoned or because it seems so very alone amidst the vast seascape; but almost immediately I also see it as a brave loner sticking it out on its own in this big scary world. Very contradicting emotions, I would say.

This picture never fails to evoke all these myriad feelings in me every time I look at it.

    1. I know right! And yes i love your perspective and could easily see that in the picture…”Solitude sought out on purpose” such a nice way to put it. Loved it! Thank you so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments!
