Words fall short when I try to write about this huge honour conferred upon me. It hasn’t sunk in yet and I am still reeling under the excitement of it all…
I am a humble recipient of the Karamveer Chakra Award (Silver) and the REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship (#RKGF) instituted by #iCONGO (international confederation of NGOs) in Partnership with the #UnitedNations
This whole experience of witnessing the awe-inspiring journeys of the awardees was so very humbling.
It made me hopeful of a better future, just knowing that there are such selfless Nobel people around us. (Trust me, I am a pessimist when it comes to looking at the future… Always harping on the gloomy, dark times we live in) but This truly gave me hope. And made me realise, if so many good people really exist, the world can’t be that bad…
More than anything else, it made me realize how much more I could be doing and I should be doing…
Because I understood that this award is not just for the miniscule amount of work I have done. It’s about how much more there is to do and that there is a much bigger responsibility now… For all of us awardees, now that we have been conferred with this great honour.
We can’t take it lightly… Not anymore.
Karamveer in the true sense of word.
