Nature never ceases to amaze you, isn’t it? Kas Plateau situated in Satara, Maharashtra, is one such wonder on earth. The mesmerizing carpet of wild flowers spread across the valley is breathtakingly beautiful. Also known as Maharashtra’s valley of flowers, Kas plateau has earned the status of UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site due to its rich biodiversity.
Surrounded by lush mountains of the western ghats, this place is a photographers paradise.
Incidentally I had one of the best Vada Pavs and Pithla Bhakri here, at one of the quaint little make-shift cafe’s overlooking the majestic mountains. While the plateau was getting soaked in the first of the monsoon showers that year, we were mesmerized by the beauty surrounding us, with hot vada pav for company.
